Behind the Food Carts

Julie & Jay Hasson - Native Bowl

Julie and Jay Hasson are the proud owners of Native Bowl. If you’re looking for a healthy meal, then look no further. They make these delicious, flavorful, and filling bowls of foods. Depending on what you get, you’ll find rice, tofu, cabbage, carrots, sesame seeds, and great tasting sauces. All really fresh, light, and delicious ingredients!

Jay and Julie have both been involved with food for a long time. Julie writes vegan cookbooks and articles for magazines. They also do a vegan cooking show. You can check it out at everydaydish.tv. Doing that everyday, they realized that they missed talking and interacting with other people. So they decided to open up Native Bowl and it’s been 3 years now.

You really have to try their bowls. They really are amazing. If they had to recommend a bowl both of them suggested the following:

Jay - Alberta Bowl (if you like spicy foods). Jasmine rice, garlic tofu, Fire-Breathing Dragon Sauce, house-made furikake, shredded green cabbage, carrots, and scallions.

Julie - Broadway Bowl. Jasmine rice, garlic tofu, house-made peanut ginger sauce, cilantro, shredded red cabbage, carrots, scallions, and toasted sesame seeds.

Their lovely cart.

They have these really cool pins!

Jay & Julie.

This is the Couch Bowl. Jasmine rice, garlic tofu, sweet and spicy gochujang sauce, bean sprouts, organic spinach, shredded carrots, scallions, and toasted sesame seeds.
